What is SE going to do about people that AFK in Frontline?

Okay, stop being pedantic. They might not be afking in the literal sense, but sitting at spawn and moving a bit to keep themselves from being kicked amounts to the same thing.

Thankfully, afaik, Square is pretty decent about punishing these people when actually reported.

Yup, edited my post as you responded as I agree with that sentiment. Not sure if they get outright banned (unless they already have three strikes on their account anyways), but punishment yes.

Not if they are botting and doing a jump, eg at the first spot for your team, so denied, it wont boot if you do an action.

In that case you can report them for botting, and they'll be banned for that, not because they're AFK.

One or two people AFKing is not the problem. It's a collective (lack of) effort that decides wins and losses.

No it’s a fundamental design flaw. Three way battles are messy. In front line whichever team is worst picks the winner because whoever they attack is fighting 2-1.

That's exactly what they do when confirmed after a report. That is, if the 2min AFK timer is being circumvented.
