Field Commander set: can the requirements to earn it be reviewed?

I feel sorry for those that have to grind for it now. Compared to back then, 2 expansions ago, you have a ton of RNG added over time dictating how you are going to play the game.

On one hand this probably needs to be looked at since this is overwhelming for some. On another hand, frontlines is supposed to be played "for fun." So why care about the reward requirements?

If you want the reward faster you're better off finding a group to play with.

I mean, this is probably up to each person individually, but if I see the coat, I don't really admire their skill and ability.
I think to myself that these people spent a long time doing something. So the mind immediately goes either to "they have played for a long time" or "they have a lot of free time."
So not prestigious to me. Don't get me wrong, persistence is a nice trait to have, but it doesn't make me admire a person wearing it for sure.
I'm working towards it simply because I think it looks nice.

Not even a long time either, haha. Your assignment in frontline used to be determined by the grand company you picked during MSQ. So all the avid PvP folks would choose the same grand company to have a stacked alliance vs noobs. Furthermore, we used to be able to que as a full on 8 man pre-made in top of that for an ultra-stacked alliance vs noobs.

To take it even further you could que-sync three 8-man pre-mades into the same GC and enter and finish a game within 5 minutes by camping the spawn point of the enemy and farming kills until you reached the win point threshold since there was no invincibility for respawn, and respawns took increasingly longer the more times you died so the enemy team rezzes were always staggered.

Many people were able to easily farm these achievements in a week or two, including myself. It now takes new players an exponentially longer time to achieve these rewards, for what?

I have the coat and the matches that were 100% lost to RNG and not mostly bad gameplay are so few and far between that they aren't worth mentioning.
