The main issue that we had back when there were two faeries was that DPS conscious healers would exclusively use the faerie that boosted party DPS and the overhealing healers would exclusively use the healing focused faerie. If we go back to two different faeries with distinct abilities, we'll go back to that. And if you're only ever going to use one of the faeries, why even have two faeries?

Better would be to have both kinds of faerie actions always available regardless of which faerie you actually have summoned, and just make the animation for each action cause the fairy to twirl around and transform into the appropriate aspect, without having to explicitly summon the opposite aspect and without actually changing the pet instance. Just the model and animation.

Then you could pick your favorite to have out most of the time, and only put that one button on your bar, but you could still use all the faerie actions. Suppose you choose to Summon Selene because she's the best because purple. Then whenever you use Whispering Dawn, as part of the animation she would quick change to Eos, throw the glitter, then quick change back to Selene. But if you had Eos out, Whispering Dawn would just make her throw the glitter with no transformations. Likewise, with Eos out, Fey Whisper would make her quick change to Selene, do the thing, then quick change back to Eos.

That way, everyone gets to keep their favorite faerie out, everyone can choose to keep only one of the buttons on their bar if they want, nobody locks themselves out of half their faerie actions, and the lore regarding the two faerie aspects doesn't need to be retconned.
