So we're gonna sit here and compare the plight of the savage raider to minorities who have actually suffered and died at the hands of legit assholes.

Comparison is extreme yes, but the core logic really weak in both cases. You're basically saying that status quo should never change because... it would upset the status quo. Why yes, that's the point of change.

You should have at least tried to argue that people were happy with the current system, as it stands your whole point feels lazy.
