    PvP needs a relic grind.

    It is much mental gymnastics if you think you can fix a mode by throwing rare stuff at it. What when you got it all?
    Only few would use the items if they are as common as a chocobo. The rest of the game is already theme park MMO where everyone gets everything for just subbing.

    i could see that working if they went back to how pvp used to be *like remember when your pvp rank actually made you do more damage and take less?* and *pvp gear gave you stats IN pvp*?

    PvP needs to feel rewarding (and have rank decay). Take LoL for example. Beyond reaching gold, you don't get that much for being higher ranked other than a chroma for the season's victorious skin. Those who hit ranked for extrinsic rewards get to gold because they don't have to maintain their rank in any way, the rest do it for intrinsic reasons, bragging rights and whatever else. Ideally that's how it would go imo.
