That is exactly what I am going to do start fresh with a little sprout and see how fast I can go to level up 11 crafters, a miner and botanist, a whm, warrior, and red mageNot transferring, but I'm going to start a little side alt and work her up from the ground up. Been so long since I was a tiny little sprout with little gil to my name. Even my alts currently I help out. So I'm looking forward to a fresh start to poke around with here and there.

Not sure which classes I want to go with yet. I considered I might tackle tank again from the ground up. I was a prot paladin for years in WoW and kind of miss it. Definitely will have all DoH and DoL, though. Sometimes I do that more than I adventure.
For levelling your DOL you will love this:
One weird thing we saw on Materia with Tanks was... there were so many of them! DPS in need was a real thing for quite a long time.

LOL yes, though I'll be leveling those along with my adventuring level for gear and such, so I may not need the Firmament as much by the time I can unlock it.
I'll probably end up with at least one of each adventuring role. Might go get SCH back under my belt. I was always a WHM main, but I used to be pretty proficient in both before I let SCH fall to the wayside. Not sure which DPS. Maybe DRG that I enjoy but don't play much, or take the time to relearn MNK.
This is exactly why I pick up red mage as soon as possible to help out the ques at the start of a server. keeping the insta ques going is key to leveling as fast as possible.

For the MSQ, I'd recommend DPS. Tanks and healers will always have fast queues but DPS tend not to. So dump all that free EXP on them and grind out tanks afterwards is my advice.

You get more than enough xp to lvl up more than one job at the same time. You can easily pick 2 jobs, even 3 from the beginning. If not, with arcanist you get both a healer and a dps with scholar and summoner once you reach lvl 30 and they level up together. If the dps queues are too long, you can swap to healer. You can pick that and a tank role. Also, if you have xp to spare you can pick up extra jobs at lvl 50, 60 and 70 without any other requirement than the level.

100% recommend playing as SCH/SMN when leveling MSQ.You get more than enough xp to lvl up more than one job at the same time. You can easily pick 2 jobs, even 3 from the beginning. You can pick that and a tank role.
Having the option to jump to a healer queue when DPS queue takes too long is a life saver.
Well another thing to keep in mind is that up to a certain level there's Duty Support so the only queues that will be an issue are anything that can't be done with that. And there are hunting logs, beast tribes, FATES, and GC daily hunts to supplement. I've got all 90s so I know a lot of leveling tricks and I'm not too worried about that aspect. I was mainly going to focus on tank as a role I don't normally do. I'm a WHM/BRD main. You get more than enough xp to lvl up more than one job at the same time.
