Very excited to get my 2 characters off Materia where the ping for me is unplayable and onto a NA server where it will be much better. I don't care about housing honestly. I just want to be able to play the characters again.

You probably know it but just in case, Materia to Dynamis won't be a free transfer. (Unless they remove the "New server" status on Materia, which I don't see happening.)

I'm assuming big preppers stocked up on things to flood the MB with.

Other prep can include clearing out mail items, making sure all MB sales are removed, emptying out houses/apartments, getting rid of your FC, knocking down houses(don't get rid of your land if you're moving with a house...just remove the building!), etc. :3

Can't flood the mb when you only get 20 listings per retainer though I'm sure a lot of people have items stashed for the MB.

Data center travel means there's always access to things forgotten/not anticipated. The main lack will be anything obtained through FC workshops or gardening.

To add to your list of things to do to prepare:

- check the Calamity Salvager to make certain you don't have unclaimed belts on it if your character was created before Endwalker release.

- also check for Ceremony of Eternal Bonding invitations. Can't have those in your inventory or a retainer's inventory when transferring.

- if your character is a tenant in someone else's house, you need to leave it (Housing - Estate Settings - Shared Estate)

- once servers are online, go to the character selection screen of the world you plan to transfer to before going to Mogstation or it won't appear on the list of destination worlds

Where there's a will, there's a way. Just bring the full retainer / alt army! I'm personally faaaar too lazy to bother attempting to move over anything to sell. I just want a nice empty server for awhile.

And belts....evidently I need to go check for belts @.@; I thought I was done!

One more for the list - if possible and you don't already have one, buy an apartment before you leave. There is a free 500,000 in it.
