I don't really care only costs SE money they could have made. Gives me an excuse not to buying anything from them on the Mogstation. How the economy is they want to make as much money as they can. Guess it's there loss.
They should have Gift Cards for specific amounts as an option on the cash shop and let u gift those to people.

No one says you can't do a secret santa. It just means you can't gift things from the mog station directly. Buy a 10M+ gil mount and mail it. Problem solved.
all the money they made from mogstation alone they could give us all a Christmas gift of 1k more wards for housing XD

it's kinda sad to see the level of some have gotten used to.., to the point that this one change up ends their whole end of year plans that is still more than a month away.
Just cause MMOs have always had Snakes and roaches doing illicit activities at others loss, (and players who should have their accounts deleted for buying from them) doesn't mean it'll always be that way, and stay that way.
They wouldn't be doing these changes if it didn't benefit them, and the game, or the player base in the long run.<and tbh with the threads this past month and about the frequent Bots/potential RMT antics going around.>
It isn't so surprising, that sometime after EW launch that they are finally able to Expand their "Teams" as they stated in the update to the store.
[SE feels the loss of sales more than these individuals who are left out of ideas for Xmas gifts.]
If anything, those who got left without their easy low effort gift giving should be making threads asking SE for a better shop after the period of Locked Gifting is over.
<Since making any more threads about the topic won't make them turn back. Specially since it won't end their goals quicker, and show a lack of direction on their part/following a plan to the letter.
EverQuest 2 is great in some ways (housing) and trash in others(their marketplace). And I managed to get them to completely change a policy they had on transfers so community complaints do sometimes change things.Daybreak (formerly SOE) has alt currency and they have worse restrictions (You can't send anything at all), so it's actually reasonable to speculate this is how things will be. Sometimes, in order to look out for the customer, some things have to be taken away because too many can't take the time to think "is this smart, safe or wise to do?"
I have friend that insists on handing out gifts and it didn't take her very long to figure out an alternative. Other folks can do the same.
