Just like to remind everyone asking "Why did SE choose this way" that this is the same company who has their systems being held together by bandaids and prayer. Do you really think they had things set up behind the scenes and ready to go in the event this happened? No. I would put a large amount of money on that they didn't. This was probably a combination of trying to get something together in a rush (because they probably didn't even start until they got official notice of the vast amount of chargebacks going on) while also having their payment processor breathing down their neck the entire time to get things fixed immediately.

I get it, some are disappointed because they can't do a specific event for their FC now (which we don't even know how long this ban on the items is going to last) but people not being used as a money funnel for RMT purchases is more important. I'm sorry if that offends you but there's a bigger picture here that needs to be looked at and put as a priority. For all we know they could be working on a more solid system now that they've given themselves some breathing room and we could hear something about it in the next coming weeks.

I can't speak for everyone but from a personal standpoint the power of prayer has got me out of some bad jams, I've seen miracles before my very eyes from the power of my prayer and others prayers.

It's just people think Jesus to be some kind of magical genie that grants wishes, that's not how prayer nor God works, I'm glad not all my prayers were answered, looking back now I can see the flaws on some of them and I know God could to.

On Topic though, I agree it sucks we can't gift mounts anymore, I've seen a few fc contests with mounts qa the prizes and holiday parties like the Christmas or birthday ones.

I'm glad we can still gift fantasias though.

I agree. People can learn to adjust. There are plenty of items in game that can be given as gifts. Some would even be content with a few million gil.

I mean can't you like...give people the money so they can buy it on their own? I know it kinda ruins the secret santa vibe a bit but i dunno maybe don't put so much value into something that is basically just fueled by money without any uh...deeper feelings behind it. Maybe do it with ingame items instead of giving so much kupos about a fc event that is just people throwing money at each other.

You could also gift each other irl stuff like SE merch, there are many cool things like custom made job crystals or plushies or figures, not the expensive official ones ofc. or well even art! Just hire a forking artist to draw a friend or your fc with that money, something that has some emotional value and not a stupid emote.
