That would still have problems and likely still cost money to implement. They could implement an alternate currency like Daybreak's cash and it would still be subject to restrictions where you wouldn't be able to gift.

I figured that would be a decent solution unless it's just too much money to produce or that those physical cards are also easily vulnerable to scams.
