gonna try this rn. That would mean a permanent fix without having to close steam each time?

EDIT: Works. Tried multiple times while having Steam on. Not sure if or how this fix affects any other instalations of games, but this appears to be a PERMANENT fix.

3 months later, a member of a gaming community comes up with a solution that SE and STEAM could not. Just wow..
