It's almost guaranteed that Myths of the Realm will actually reveal the significance behind Silvertear Lake considering the Phantom Realm is herald at the top of itThe worst one for me was the unexplained significance of Lake Silvertear in Mor Dhona.
Hydaelyn tasked Midgardsormr to protect it and he did for 10 000 years.
But we never really explored what was the deal with that.
There's a 1.0 trailer showing the ARR primals popping out of it but that's it.
And with Hydaelyn and Midgardsormr gone, the two people tied to that plot are gone.
The only hope i have is for the Alliance Raid to mention it, considering we go to the gods realm from the lake.
Damn that's a good one, yeah definitely hoping that the Alliance Raid series covers the significance of the place. The worst one for me was the unexplained significance of Lake Silvertear in Mor Dhona.

Which is honestly disappointing since garlemald was a lot more interesting than Zenos.Yeah remember how we absolutely murdered that 2nd boss in Ala Mhigo? Yeah that was the lead scientist behind Resonants. Just like how Black Rose was eventually canned by Zenos so did that project.
It's kinda funny how Zenos single handedly destroyed any hope for Garlemald to succeed
I was on this mentality during Stormblood.
But sadly after EW, I grew to love Zenos more than Garlemald. It's kinda sad to see how far it fell, I really was hoping to see it be this huge metropolis akin to FFVII Midgar or FFXII Archades but we didn't get a full Garlemald expansion so that expectation died as soon as Shadowbringers happened.
When Krile gets rescued and has like, zero trauma from being locked in the echo-torturebox. I really checked out of stormblood after that.
Krile is a stupid character in general. She gets treated as a meat puppet by Hydaelyn but does not care either. She's just used for exposition dump and moving the plot, her character is the void itself.
I recall seing Krile a lot calmer after being crammed into that box.
Seeing how Hydaelyn is effectively the god doesn't make it surprising that that Krile is angry being controlled by her, other then that they do portray her as being tired whenever it happens.
Hm... Things that were dropped. Almost the entire sliding scale of grey morality they were setting up in ShB went right out the window in Endwalker. The transition from "Hydaelyn and Zodiark are both necessary evils" to "it's for the good of all" was a bit disconcerting.
And before my comment invites yet another flame war, consider this: Her actions are what they are. I simply feel the procession of heinous actions she took should've been afforded their due weight in the narrative, but they were not. It's not a matter of Zodiark good, Venat bad.

The Resonance was at least used again in the Bozja storyline...though unfortunately that storyline was rushed to a premature conclusion as well.
As far as Garlemald is concerned, though, Regula just being forgotten entirely was a major faux pas. It's a big deal when a commander from an enemy nation puts aside their differences to work together for the sake of the greater good and then sacrifices themselves to protect an enemy.
I'd consider Elidibus and Varis to have been slain prematurely as well. Looking back, it seems many long running storylines suffered from new characters being created and introduced at the expense of 'legacy' characters.

At this point I believe we can classify Garlemald itself as a dropped plot point. Their rather abrupt rush to conclude the current story arc appears to have been the driving force behind sweeping the Garleans from the board. A lot of story potential was lost with the cutting off of that "loose end."
