I think the heart of sabik was going to be more of a thing before they lost interest then forgot. re: the other ascians xeronia mentioned, gaius had some masks as trophies but didn't get details of how that went down.

As Gaius has no means to control aether and presumably had no white auracite on him they could have just come back, one of those masks was very lion-like which lines up with being Leo.. which by ff12 logic where all the names are from is Fandaniel. We never saw Fandaniel's actual mask and it does line up with his story of getting Asahi's body "This useful body I just chanced to find." presumably after Gaius killed him. At least that is how I took it.

A: Perhaps a few of the sundered Ascians are still around, though it’s unclear whether they would be on the Source or one of the Reflections.

The masks Gaius carries around once belonged to Altima and Deudalaphon. However, Gaius simply had their masks, and whether or not he truly vanquished them has yet to be clarified. A point you may want to consider in your theories is what it takes to vanquish an Ascian.

Yup, the lion-like mask was actually... Capricorn? Don't you love it? Endwalker would've been perfect for the ~4 remainders to show up, but alas... they seem to be keeping these ascians in their pockets, and apparently have their real names and everything. Hopefully not as mere throwaways...

Well that is rather silly. Hopefully they get addressed ever as they were shown in ARR.

EDIT: Actually this reminds me please stop putting all these answer in interviews. We have an in game compendium, use it.
