Where Dalamud lands...

Its possible Dalamud doesn't ever "land" or "crash".

Many concept art shows the aether/crystal's to want to float away (supposedly towards Dalamud's power). Its possible that it stops falling and hovers (over Mordana?) at some point, or Cid finds a way to stop it etc.

Something the size of Dalamud crashing into Eorzea would destroy the entire planet most likely so I am sort of assuming the terraforming for 2.0 will just be because Dalamud either got really close and the aether went through turmoil before it returned to space or that it hovers somewhere where its power is still present but never actually impacts the surface. (obviously with better storyline than that tho!)

Careful, there are people on this forum who will vilify you for trying to explain anything in a fantasy setting with science. I do agree with Dalamud not making planetfall for pretty much the same reason however.

Not sure if it will really hit or not however the empire did drop Dalamud once already and destroyed the Bozja Citadel completely. So it may hit or the force of it getting close can wipe out a large area? I would think maybe it gets close then fires off a large blast... but then they said they brought it down before and could not control where it landed... meaning it hit...
