You'd think they would maybe reconsider all the recent All Classes glams if it were that...I don't think it's about the 90% of things that would look fine on other roles, but a few sticking points that they want to keep locked down and maybe can't individually control. So if it's all or nothing and they won't accept all things being freely glamourable, then it has to be nothing.

You can't post "invalid" glams on Eorzea Collection, I'm fairly certain.
Role glamour restrictions abolitionist! For more details and to help us spread the message:

To me, that seems like punishing the class because 1 student was disruptive. Also why does it matter? I don't really care if some MCH player somewhere wants to wear BLM relic gear. It's none of my business. How does that harm my gameplay experience?I don't think it's about the 90% of things that would look fine on other roles, but a few sticking points that they want to keep locked down and maybe can't individually control. ESPECIALLY since DoH/DoL get DoW gear regularely.
So it‘s fine for them to look like DoW but not vice versa?
Why can‘t I wear anything i want?
I don‘t need relic gear for all classes, but somehow having the option to make something for everybody would be cool
Especially accessories…
People don't want to believe that it has to do with the actual items being tied to the looks and opening things up to all classes opens up the can of worms of people not being geared properly at the higher levels. They're looking at it through the lens of modders being able to overwrite things with their own appearances, when that's not really how it works at the base level.I don't think it's about the 90% of things that would look fine on other roles, but a few sticking points that they want to keep locked down and maybe can't individually control. I'm not against this. I never was... but I've committed the heresy of not speaking directly in support, so here we go again.
If I see you can't read what I wrote, I'm not responding.
Dummibear, welcome to ignore, not that it will stop the trite BS from spewing.![]()

I'm not saying I want it to be this way, but I get the impression that it's the devs' line of thinking. And if they have a particular artistic thing about not wanting the job gear to be available and the only way to enforce that is to lock it all down, then it's within their power to do so – and if that is the holdup then no, the restrictions do not make sense if you pick out a random pair of shorts and ask "why should this item be class-locked?" when it's not about the individual item at all, but the system that item is caught up in.
I think if they had piece-by-piece control over what can be glamoured, we'd already have more unlocked pieces available to us.
With all the glamours that have nothing to do with identifying what job someone is, I have to think that there's something else going on with the decision. Either it's simply too much work right now, or there's some spaghetti in the code that would make it a nightmare to transfer over, something. The reason they've given simply doesn't make any sense. If someone can wear a pig costume that shows nothing, then wearing heavy armor as a healer would be the same.
No you're just a troll who posts things they know to be incorrect just to start an argument.People don't want to believe that it has to do with the actual items being tied to the looks and opening things up to all classes opens up the can of worms of people not being geared properly at the higher levels.
