Jokes aside, GREAT post! I'll put mine below:



From left to right

1) Dancer set
- Chestpiece is DoM only, even though there's a cosmetic version, it will not dye fully black like the original Coliseum Shawl
- Legs (DoM), shoes(Healing) and headpiece(Healing or Striking, though the healing dyes much better)

2) Black Mage set
- Everything works for a Black Mage, EXCEPT for that damn hood that is only available to Scouting, Striking and Aiming

3) Red Mage set
- The piece that won't work is the cool shorts + stockings that is a Maiming/Striking/Scouting item

4) Machinist set
- Headpiece is striking, pants is fending and shoes is healing

5) Gunbreaker set
- Head is maiming... Fending has exactly the same model but with goggles that clip through some hairstyles, but that didn't work well for me
- Gloves is striking, Scaevan. Surprisingly it matches the chestpiece much better than the Lost Allagan gloves of fending

Now, see here... I'm not trying to achieve anything outside of the box for a job's fantasy. However the limitations we have so far restrict a lot when it comes to narrowing down cool details and finesse of those sets. For example, the Red Mage shorts is impossible to find a "creative workaround" to it since there's not a single item in the game that is shorts + stockings.

Same case for the Black Mage hood. There's not a single "clean" hood like that for casters. Everything available comes with some other weird stuff added to it, or a mask (Crypturker's hood of healing). Ironically the closest thing we have to that right now is the Fat Cat hood from mogstation... if you don't mind a pair of ears, lol.

Perfect for reaper, though sadly is comprised of a Casting Helmet and Scouting Chestpiece.

Oh my goodness. Just realized how GOOD this ensemble is. How in the hells back and forth the Troian Maiming set is not something like THAT? Like, it would be the perfect excuse for once to cater to a Reaper silhouette but no, they went to pair with the Fending's heavy set. The same thing when I look at the Rinascita set of Striking and think to myself "This is a Red Mage". They mix and match those combinations arbitrarily and yet they miss cues like these ones. (that would be irrelevant if glamour was unrestricted).

Seeing what other people come up with just makes me even more annoyed at the asinine job limitations for glamour. I have no idea what their reasoning is for this, and honestly I don't care. It's beyond stupid.

I don't think it's about the 90% of things that would look fine on other roles, but a few sticking points that they want to keep locked down and maybe can't individually control. So if it's all or nothing and they won't accept all things being freely glamourable, then it has to be nothing.
