Someone who actually enjoys owning multiple houses and isn't interested in the attention would use very different FC tags so they go unnoticed.

I'm on Excallibur, and my wife mentioned a few guilds mass buying houses. I didnt believe it until I went to check it out myself. Ward 9 of Empyreum on Excallibur is a prime example of the Abuse players are applying to players who have been complaining about the lack of houses available.

After further research both free companies are two individuals with multiple accounts buying up all the houses in a ward.

With the current state of housing, I can't really blame anyone for loopholing the system to get one. Abusing it the way these groups are though isn't okay, however I doubt we'll get any sort of resolution to this problem. People have been buying out full wards for years now.

This could be fixed IF Yoshi P cared but they don't nor has it been listed as a known exploit. Anyone that doesn't think they are aware of players doing this is living under a rock. It doesn't even take multiple accounts to do, just 1 account. SE introduced a broken system again, players took advantage. Don't hate the players, hate Yoshi P for not caring what you want. Is it morally wrong players do it? Possibly. Do I care? Nope. I've got all the plots I'd ever want. Should SE fix the loophole? Yes. Will they? Nah no chance lol.

I've always had two houses in the game and for awhile I was like I have all this gil I could just give myself a third somewhere else but I wasn't that invested to fish out another plot.

Basically a standard sub buys anyone 8 characters per-server. There are people who use the extra characters for RP, raid logging, or even just for another FC caretaker kind of things. Just use FC chest to give another toon gear and gil. You can tell people who say derogatory things probably don't even know how to use these basic mechanisms because they don't even run their own FC. Nor know the benefits of what an FC workshop entails.

Nonetheless they had years to kind of fold up multiple ownership, all they done is just make it much harder now but that's it.

It's not even harder, as you said it makes it even easier to get multiple fc houses in lottery, you have to wait 30 days which is the only hassle but then you can get multiple houses at once and it makes up for the "time lost", people thought lottery would fix housing from both bots and multiowners, if anything, it helped both to spread even further, but hey, people wanted placard gone, they got what they wanted
