This was happening (in a different way) for a few months on Faerie, Kugane, Ward 1, Plot 12.

For at least 8 consecutive lottery cycles, (those were as long as I was entering for that house, it could've been going on much long idk) some shell or troll FC consistently won the plot and purposely did NOT claim it. This rolls it over to the next one of course.

One I could maybe understand if an FC won and the entrant just had some fluke IRL emergency that took them away from the game and not be able to claim it.

For this to go on for 8 cycles means they were either intentionally griefing players for the lolz, or much more likely offering it on Discord for gil or RMT real money.

The chances of 8 separate legit FC's all having their bidders all having some fluke emergency that none of them could claim their plot each time, let's just say the odds are astronomical against that, like trees and grass suddenly evolving on the Moon tomorrow.

I was bidding on it too of course for my very small FC, it'd be nice to have but not stressing it. Presumably other regular FC's were bidding too, someone finally claimed it last cycle, so either they got lucky and won legit or gave in and paid the greifers on Discord. Really don't care either way.

Didn't file a report because what could it really say? Yeah it's sketchy AF and suspicious, and a really nasty thing to do to fellow players, but certainly I can't prove any rules were broken.

Nah, this is normal. A lot of FCs place bids on multiple plots, then pick the best one they win. It's not like gil is hard to get with hundreds of millions from Bozja/Eureka as the other thread claims.

Wish people would hold SE accountable. The system is terrible. These people suck too, but the sad reality is that sucky people exist and we shouldn't enable them or allow them to operate as easily as this.

More reason why we need instance houses. If they can create an entire giant island for ourselves, then I don't see how having a personal house outside of a ward is so hard to do.

I gave up on getting a house way back in HW, because I knew I'd never get one with the previous system andwhile the current system is a step in the right direction, persistently trying to get housing wards to work is just a waste of resources at this point. I'd much rather tje devs divert all their funds away from housing wards and funnel all that into getting housing to work on our island sanctuaries instead. Would be far more worth the time and give players further incentive to stick around on their respective islands. Plus, since you can invite friends to your island, you can still have the social experience that the wards were originally intended to provide.

Every one of those plots is owned by a different FC (FC tags are not unique). This doesn't break any rules.

What is against forum rules is "naming and shaming" though. I advise you remove the names from your post.

It may not be against TOS, but it's definitely a dick move. And they know it's one, otherwise they probably wouldn't do it. They know precisely the implications of what they are doing, and many of them are doing so not for any legitimate reason but "for the lulz." I'm sure they got quite a laugh out of this thread, all things consdiered.

Outing their names would be against TOS, on the other hand.
