Where Dalamud lands...

Why is everyone so confused about what Dalamud is? It is a giant machine built thousands of years ago by the allag civilization. This is clearly explained in a grand company quest, a quest called Alive for Maelstorm.

Meteor is something else entirely, meteor is black magic. The empire wants to summon meteor to crash into Dalamud. Seriously people do the grand company quests. It explains all of this.

Each of the Grand Company quests gives a different piece of the puzzle, though. The Maelstrom quests said nothing about crashing Meteor into Dalamud. Only that the Empire was trying to use Dalamud in some fashion and that it was man made.

Our last quest was all about how Gaius used to be king, but now he's just a lap dog for Nael.

The Twin Adder quest you learn that they have tried to use meteor once before and that they could not control where Dalamud would fall... it apparently it hit somewhere call Bozja Citadel or at least it cause something bad there to happen. Though now they think they have a means to control where it will land... we shall see!

There was so much I didn't know about the whole story in that vid. I may as well seek out the Flames cutscenes too now.

The maelstrom quests don't mention these tomestones at all. And it seems like "Meteor" is indeed an operation name involving crashign Dalamud into Eorzea.
