Well as the story goes we are in the.. cant remember what umbral number era it is. They said this story-line can only be experience now.. after 2.0 no one else can. Main story is the empires threat. Im thinking this Meteor will backfire on them and wipe most of them out... thus ending the threat and starting a new story-line. There will still be remnants of them left as well as bases and outposts.. but no major city or threat left.

Think as if you're the empire's leading commander.

It's obviously heading towards Ishgard, The empire's biggest threat is The Fury, Shiva.

It's the closest to the Twelves wood and we all know the wood will be the region with the biggest change.

On second thought, I don't think Dalamud will ever actually touch down.

In the quest "Ceruleum Shock" Cid tells us that the reason for the disturbances in the Aether's flow is because of Dalamud. And that has back when Dalamud was a mere dot.

I believe the Empire has found a way to control Dalamud and will bring it too close to Hydaelyn causing the Aether to go haywire and thus alter Eorzea from within.

Pretty much I think they're trying to crystallize the Aether, and Dalamud will do that all in one shot.

i can't help but think Hydaeln's(sp?) aether is reacting to Dalamud and is reaching up to "catch" it. if you look at the concept art there's tons of red crags all over the place reaching towards the sky.

that could be true... It makes sense when you look at the concept art of the Aetheryte that has to be chained down so it wont float away

They need to redesign cities to an extent. You can't tell me that this thing will take out the entire continent but the three cities will magically be unscathed.

Yea.. unless the moon is just an aetherial magnet and it pulls stuff up from underground in many places and disrupts the land that way
