    That's from one of the lore books, stating that the arcane arts have eluded all but a few - and as we know from the Reaper quests, a Pureblood Garlean can make a pact with Voidsent in order to wield aether.

    Male Viera were also previously painted as being 'unseen' outside of their forests up until they were added to the game as of Endwalker. Au Ra weren't seen at all until the later portion of ARR with Yugiri's introduction. The same with Hrothgar before Shadowbringers.

    Firmly agreed. I've met a lot of Garlean roleplayers over the years and it's been a pretty common desire in many circles that I've moved in.
