Sit here and bring up character development and how it gets undone, then in the same breath tell the WoL to undo any development they could have had by just walking into a bar and allowing themselves; once again, to get drugged, just cause. Like they never learned their lesson from the past few times its happened. Compelling adventure. Get drugged, Again.

More likely to happen is some person from a side quest that most of the playerbase forgot about shows up and gushes over us and thanks us yet again for saving them or helping them change their life for the better. Only to have their friend or loved one and maybe the rest of the bar all go "Wait that's the WoL!? I thought they'd look different." Either that or some one who feels we wronged notices us and foolishly tries to start crap. But yes you're correct we should just ignore all that and a bag of chips. Silly me.

Characters arnt constantly suffering. Game is bad, replace whole cast with people who always suffer.
Its not so "unreasonable" its just not as compelling as you think it is. Or at least, it wouldnt be compelling to "everybody" And maybe not the WHOLE cast, but maybe one or 2.

People want an entertaining, fun and compelling adventure, not a Depression Simulation or just Sadness and Drab
