PLD has the fastest auto attack in the game IIRC. :^)Here's my suggestion
Improved Fast Blades, Your blades are very fast! Decreases GCD so much that you are back inline with 120 second windows. Always weird how PLD swing their 1h sword so slow like WAR and DRK with their heavy 2 handers.
Make PLD the Monk Tank. Also Warrior is attack to heal tank, Paladin can be the defend to heal tank. Holy Sheltron heals you when you block an attack.
Change the rest of the game so that PLD is no longer a problem child. 100% serious.
Kinda yes? If people wanna get out of "burst meta" then yes. If people don't then ok?
People will complain if Paladin gets changed into another 60/120 burst job, People will complain if Paladin gets no rotational changes, People will complain if we go away from burst meta.
Theirs really no solution that will make everyone happy, I do think moving away from burst into every 2 minute meta would be good and healthy for the game but that's also going to be way harder to balance leading to more complaints about why "x" job is bad.
Seems like it's a moot point since PLD is getting a rework in 6.3 if I'm reading these 6.21 changes right.Kinda yes? If people wanna get out of "burst meta" then yes. If people don't then ok?

Man, I would love it if the burst meta went away. It's been done to death at this point. If I wanted a burst meta I'd go play... well, literally any other MMO. It's a fad, and not a very fun one.
Well yeah no real solution for Paladin, the complaints are based around the job not fitting a current meta which is vaild, but at the same time people dislike the jobs which fit under meta which is a valid point, right now they should fit PLD under bursts (With how they are balancing the game), but honestly they really need to move away from the meta in general in 7.0
6.3 rework I'm hopeful it's nothing too bad, but won't deny that I'm worried, I don't even think it would be a simple spell speed to skill speed change, It's likely going to be some simplification, to make the job more appealing to people who don't even play Paladin, but people who like the job aren't going to really be happy, I Don't think I'm looking forward to a rework.
Run 2.5 or 2.22 GCD. You made a problem up yourself and are demanding the job change to fix it.Just going to say this: PLD's rotation as it is right now is detrimental to itself. Why? Because they're the only job that does not play into the 2m Burst Window when it's up. While they are flexible in their rotation when Requiescat is up, the cast times are different in terms of GCD.
While you can use Skill Speed to fix your GCD to 2.44(or 2.42), Spell Speed is a factor because PLD USES SPELLS WHEN USING HOLY SPIRIT/CONFITEOR COMBO. The recasts are different which is a major issue for PLD in the long-run and is a large contributor as to why people have been dropping PLD for DRK/GNB in the current progression of the tier - it doesn't play into raid buffs like any other job, instead it plays itself and winds up being lower damage by a large margin as shown by the site that shall not be named.
Considering they literally were trying to fix everything to the 2m Burst Window this expansion, it's odd how a single job can be left out of the loop. Either fix their rotation to fit into the Burst Window, or throw us a bone by fixing HS/Confiteor's GCD to Skill Speed instead of Spell Speed.
Get over yourself.

As more significant adjustments to action mechanics will require more time, such changes will be implemented from Patch 6.3 onward. For now, we have elected to adjust actions that will improve the job's burst damage.
Don't you fucking dare.
You can pry Paladin from my cold, dead hands.
Agree.
PLD rotation is good as it is now.
They just have to tweak the numbers a bit and it will be fine.
Yea, he might be not as good as other tanks on certain burst heavy bosses but will on the other side be a bit better on a uninterrupted 100%-0% fight.
Do not take away one of the last different rotation.
I don't want another 10-20sec heavy burst into 100sec 123 tank.
Ah, yes, because FoF in optimal is burned 16s in before engaging a target somehow makes Paladin rotation good, this is a straight lie.
It doesn't matter, 2 min bursting is the current meta and you can give DRK/GNB 2-6s downtimes, Paladin will lose hardcore against them, there's no other side, Paladin is a griefing tank. Magic range doesn't change anything than having a range advantage, but every high level of raid groups will adapt uptime strategies making this quote "irrelevant".
Well sadly it has to be done unless the whole rotation system takes a overhaul. Paladins strongest bursts are far too late in raid buffs, and adding more potency buffs, more potency buffs, more potency buffs, isn't going to fix the job, it's fact. Paladins strongest attacks are in Holy Spirits/Blades, but you can't FoF after because it gets completely cucked trying to throw Goring back up under FoF. To counter this, pre-pop FoF during 16s of countdown and it will fall off on Goring and return after 3 atonements after Blades. Please tell me how this is a good rotation.
