    Yes, I'll correct you.

Hroth ears was most definitely mentioned on the Japanese forum, along with a lot of likes. It was most certainly cared about by the JP forum community.

The others, maybe, the conventions on that side of the Fora are a little different to here. Suggestions don't usually create an angry multi-page debate like we see here with half the EN playerbase telling the other they can't have what they want. (neener neener with moose antlers optional)

Rather the Japanese part of the fora mostly seem to work on one post and like-gathering, with follow up posts offering extra thoughts. There is not much of the rehashing-the-same-point discourse we see here. If it's a poorly thought out, unpopular idea, it will be (0) on the bottom of the post.

Of course, there are exceptions. Always. Some topics - like the zero bug housing refund - had a little acrimony in it.

I'd rather have the developers spending their time working on the game than posting in the forums and getting nothing useful done.

Would it be nice to have a bit more interaction with Community Team members in the forums? Sure. They don't really feel like part of the community when the most interaction we get with them is a monthly stream or off the cuff Tweet.

Then again, any attempts by them to engage in the forums would just result in a massive wall of off topic posts by those looking for attention on their personal pet peeves and whines that they're being ignored. As others have said, it's probably better for them to stay away.

Thanks for the insight! I knew the JP forums used their feedback primarily with the thumbs up button - more thumbs up = bigger issue.

I remember a JP poster coming to our forums seeking support on their forum for the Hroth ears to be fixed - or something to that nature. When I checked their posts, most of what I understood were JP players were sad for Hroth players, but there weren't that many of them, and they understood that it was too much work for Yoshi and his team to fix it.

If anything, and this is purely from my observation NOT from my indepth understanding of the situation from a JP perspective, it seemed like the JP poster was asking us for help to get more awareness on the JP forums - not that there was already a large outcry from the JP community.

However, if what you said is true, then I'm very wrong and I really really misunderstood the situation - this would not be a first for me ,_,

He was a very nice person too! Quite passionately seeking the best for his character's race.

Noooooo, hugs, you just won't often see a large outcry there, the saying-NO!-on-behalf-of-the-devs stuff and cyclical arguments we see here is rather EN unique!

We get ignored because we dont listen. Years ago we was asked to put feedback on a topic in one thread. But we still don't, we create hundreds with a few likes in each one.

    (my emphasis)

I agree that more interaction from the Community Team would be nice. I definitely don't agree that it's better they stay away because forum users are likely to be abusive or whiny.

This forum could do with more interaction from the Community Team and more moderation. Moderation is a huge issue that has been touched on before.
Multiple posts on the same topic? - no action
Blatant click-bait and troll threads? - no action
And then randomly, action taken that seems heavy-handed or disproportionate. (personal opinion)

To me the moderation feels very hit and miss, but mostly miss. People are going to differ in what they feel is appropriate and acceptable, the moderators should be setting a clear standard so topics are well organised, duplicate threads get merged and people don't indulge in trolling or start exchanging personal insults etc.
When the community is left to largely to itself and there isn't a lot of communication from the Community Team, that's when you get problems. Considering how little input we get, I think we're doing pretty well; though there have been times when General Discussion has been almost all troll threads and pointless necros.

From what I've seen, the Community Team only post to say 'Hi' when they arrive and after that, we only get to see them when there is a big problem and feelings are already running high. So, of course they're going to get a fairly strong response.
People like to feel they've been heard. Even if they aren't going to get what they want, a response that acknowledges what they've said and gives reasons why their request can't be met will go a long way towards keeping goodwill and trust.

This is easily the most ridiculous thing I see here. Everyone has to stand on their own and have their own voice on something. There's a search function for things like this. You can't guide people in the right direction either. You're just a hater and a SE bootlicker if you do.

The community team doesn't need to step up. The community does. Everything happens so randomly because this place is a shitshow. Looking through all this, it feels like people often DON'T care about any changes. They just want to complain. That much seems clear to the team, so they're not doing much.

Back in the day, devs used to post often and had a respectful behavior towards their clients

Now we pay to be ignored or despised, I don't forget Yoshi's remark that he was disappointed by the behavior of some players, he thinks we are children, it's just shocking

But no one says anything and worse some people love it so in a way you are right Doc.
I am disappointed by some of the players and they do act like children even worse.

The mere act of posting this, an inflammatory statement that contributes absolute zero to the OP's topic makes you no better and in no position to critique. I won't stop you, though. Go off, champ~

I don't see the difference between their attitude and most of your posts that oft resemble this one, personally. You absolutely certain you ain't contributing refuse to the disposal heap scheduled for incineration?
