You went against the mob. Are you really that shocked how it turned out? Just enjoy the descent and crack some jokes along the way!Precisely this. Again, it is incredibly frustrating when posters take what is nothing more than a suggestion and try to twist it into painting me as a villain, again. I've lost track of how many times this has happened. Apparently asking for male Highlanders to have some straight nose options was also something that a different poster tried to twist against me. I simply cannot understand that kind of logic.
In any case I know who to I will refrain from interacting with in the future, because I refuse to deal with posters who are going to hurl such accusations against me. I gave some suggestions as to who could be included to make this cast more likeable. There was nothing to derive any sort of offense from in that post. I despise the way that modern media has pushed the inversion of gender roles to the point where sticking to their original form is now considered outside the norm. The balance was offset, I say bring it back to a healthier state wherein there's enough give and take for both sides.
Indeed. In any case I only hope that such posters are not so quick to mischaracterize others the same way they do me. The sort of angles they seem to push are regularly rejected by current-day audiences, I only hope that FFXIV begins reversing the trends that brought us to this point someday as well. Linking it back to Krile, again she really is the last thing that would solve any of the grievances that people have with the current cast of FFXIV.

There was a Mob? Where?
But hey, I agree, have some fun and crack jokes. Its really not THAT serious.
We dont know how she will be in the future. All we know is we will see more of her and she will take more of a lead role. How they is executed has yet to be seen. Id rather judge its execution rather then judge something that hasnt even happened yet.

Aveyond, nobody's trying to make you out to be a villain. But when you come in making comments about "sticking to their original form", you're coming from a perspective that has been very damaging to anyone who acts outside of this idea. And this is not something pushed by the modern media. All throughout history there have been people who did not fit these societally proscribed gender stereotypes. Women especially have had to fight the idea that we have to be soft and gentle and can't be intelligent or assertive or we need to be "put in our place". Please, I beg you, think about the things you are saying and viewpoint that you're putting forward.Precisely this. Then again, there are also numerous FFXIV players who have accused those of us who question the way in which Venat was portrayed in Endwalker as hating women so I suppose none of these words mean anything anymore and thus whatever power they once held has been rendered moot.

You do this to yourself...nobody here has called you or made you a Villain.
Your the only one under this impression. Nobody else pushed it except you.
Hell even now there are still men who think we need to be sweet, simpering, baby popping, cooking fools. It's so annoying.Aveyond, nobody's trying to make you out to be a villain. A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!
Aren't Thancred, Urianger and Estinien the gruff and standoffish type? Urianger fits the latter while, the other two fit both perfectly.
As for a softer female character, Alisaie??? Yeah, she's a tomboy with incredibly sharp tongue, but still.. xD
Either way, I think we'll get Gosetsu to join us on our travels eventually. Maybe even next expansion since he did show off his new Far Eastern conjurer job in one of the Job quests this expansion.
More than likely, we'll be going to the New World or Mercydia while helping out the Students of Baldecian (shut up, I can't spell! xD) and that's probably the reason why Krile is gonna have a big role in the next expansion. She is the Students new leader, after all. So we'll probably see a few Scions come with us, but not all of them, while certain characters, like Gosestu or Fordola will end up joining us.
That's just my random rambling thoughts though.
*looks at the helmet*
Well how about that! And it was an obtuse example of explaining how those in the crowd never tend to believe they are a crowd. I hate giving the answers out like that. :/
