I was suspended for 240 hours...

I was apparently banned today for a couple hours. No email or anything what I rule I broke. I’m guessing mass reported flagged it for review or a certain someone is butthurt we remind him he’s supporting a pedo

Yeah there is definitely something odd, as I cant otherwise imagine outside politics lasting as long, especially because they don’t belong on this forum according to the rules and are made purely to incite, yet are left here to stir the pot as long as possible even after clearly being seen and taking actions against some members but letting the original post go on.

I mean this is literally taken from the forum guidelines:

• Posting content that deviates from topics concerning FINAL FANTASY XIV.

• Posting a number of posts with the same content.

• Taking or discussing criminal actions.

• Posting obscenity, pornography, propaganda, or other expressions unrelated to the game.

• Posting about commercial, business, advertising, political, or religious matters

So I still say it and Ill say it again, that I hope in the future such posts will be immediately removed for everyone’s sake.
If someone wants to be an activist of some sort by all means go and be where it is appropriate, but Final Fantasy is not the place for that and to me and many other people, it’s a way to escape the struggles of reality.

LGBT topics are presumably usually left up as people argue if they are political, and they can also be interpreted as having to do with the game with topics like the supposed pride crystal from the empty, representation in-game, or by referencing an interview with Yoshida for example.

I got a ten day suspension for a thread where I tried to figure out the biology of lalafell based on their game models. There was nothing inflammatory, profane, or sexual in my posts nor any responses.

I'm still confused by it and there was no explanation nor response when I asked that a superior review the case. This was less than one week into FFXIV and I came within a hair of quitting the game over it.

LGBT topics are fine as long as they are included in the FF world, but some of the original posts, not referring to the last one where Yoshi was included, although the OP once again was edited every few hours to the point where the original mention wasn’t even present anymore, were completely unrelated to final fantasy, talking about a different website and clearly meant to get people mad.

They're pretty quick to take down posts critical of Ishikawa's uwu sadboi OC too, it seems. Actual moderation of incendiary topics infested by trolls? Yeah, let that fester a few days...

It has certainly surprised me by how long certain posts or threads stay up. I'd have a lot more to say on this topic, but it's probably best left off the forums.

I mean if they told me what banned was based on it would help. I’m guessing it was automated, cause it said it was under review. In the past when I’ve been suspended here, they always cite what rule I supposedly broke.
