Post just below the required amount, then edit it to add the remainder of what you want to post. It bypasses the post limit. Mentioning just in case you didn't know/do this, since the forums will not log a post as edited if it's done within a certain amount of time after the original post.

The more content they put out, the more I wonder whether this game is even aimed at people like me anymore. I listen to people describe (probably exaggerating for social points) crying at the blandest moments, like an audience on command. "Hehe, look all of your friends are dying! But you have a magic resurrection crystal, dont use it though!" Lmao get real. Endwalker was an insult for people invested in the plot threads set up in ShB. The fact they're giving more plot time to this boring ass 2 dimensional character doesnt exactly fill me with confidence. Because after the lacklustre conclusion to the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga, of course we need a hydaelyn sock puppet following us around, like someone tied a henry hoover to the WoL. Needless to say, the story is no longer the reason I play this game which is a shame.
As somebody who has played Final Fantasy, you should be remembering the number of goofy moments that lighten the mood, because there are quite a lot of them in the franchise. Remember, the muscleheads exist in Midgar in original FF7 and the entire Honeybee Inn scene in Remake.

All that's missing is Krile looking directly at the player in a creepy doll fashion like she does in FF5 in her battle sprites.

    Nanamo and Tataru > Krile.
Then isn't this a good time to actually flesh her out into her own character, since she's the only main Scion that hasn't been? As pointed out elsewhere, she has just kinda been there. Kidnapped in 4.0 and relegated to Eureka, just taking care of the Scions bodies in 5.x, just being Hydaelyn's mouthpiece in 6.0. Considering they took all of the Scions from co-workers to friends in 5.x after them being rather uninteresting (outside of Alphinaud and Alisaie) for so long, I think we can trust them on salvaging Krile into her own person.

You forgot the part where they mentioned the fact that the Scions were still a thing off the record, they just found it'd be easier to act in secret again if it looked like they were officially disbanded.

Players so " God we hate Zenos, he is so bland, please Kill him, we don't want to see him ever again"
Yoshi makes us Kill Zenos in a Scene at the End of the Stars. Cause no matter what you answered, you could not walk away and let him there.
Good News for all we get the next bland one, called Krile. But Krile is sooooooooooooooo cute cause she is a Scion! I am sure Yoshi will bring her personalty to shine ... just like he did with Zenos.

A lot of people aren't interested in having Krile or the Scions come with us in 7.0. It doesn't matter how I say it, it doesn't make it any less true. If the game intends to apply selective pressure to effectively push away those of us who favor more dramatic high fantasy stories in favor of goofy slice of life adventures with the Scions, then I only hope that intention is made clear as soon as possible so as to not string along those of us who yearn for a return to form.

FFXIV, given its intention to stand alongside other single player titles should reflect on what made the casts of other such titles successful, and why those titles didn't have the same sort of complaints that people have for the Scions. Rather than listening to people who simply "yes I like this" to everything they put out, it is important to try to understand why some people dislike the Scions and the problems that we've elaborated at length about when it comes to their presentation in the MSQ.

Such critiques are often censured on the main Reddit or are met with fierce and unpoliced responses on sites like Twitter, making both sites unsuitable for alternate viewpoints to be heard. Try as some might, they have no power to silence me. I want, and have always wanted, for FFXIV to be the best it can be. The trajectory of the game in the past 8 months has me, as a long term fan, concerned for its future and I will continue to speak out on it in my own terms.
So you're just incapable of not proving my point. LoL
And this isn't to suit me in any way, except to promote the Proper Use of English, a language that keeps getting bastardized each Generation and each change in Pop Culture.
But just like those people, I have no power to control you, just like you have no power to stop me from pointing it out. You continue to speak this way, I and others will continue to point it out.
Also, get over yourself, nobody here is trying to silence you. Ive said quite a few times to never be afraid, and to never be silent about your Criticisms. And Quite a few times have said that you say things that make sense, but you also say dumb things.
We ALL want FFXIV to be a good game. Some of you hate its direction, some of us love its direction.

You dont know how the game will be in the future. Doomsayers have spoken ill of the game for a long time, and every time it disproves them and continues to grow.
But that in no way means you shouldnt speak your mind. Just be ready for resistance, because not everybody shares your opinion, and the Metrics speak for themselves.

We can criticize some of the execution in parts of this game's story, but if that comes at the expense of rewriting the plot to be less FF and more something akin to modern Western rpgs then you're missing the entire point of this game.
While I wouldn't call it really "dark", previous expansions(mainly ARR and Heavensward) had a different tone for me. It used to be darker, yes.

I think you miss spelled Strong as he would still fit your idea of the kind of masculinity that somehow the game is lacking. As he is still a rugged masculine looking Quinestri who has a wife and loves cookies but feels that just liking cookies makes himself be too soft and weak. Vs Iron Bull who would really only would check off the aesthetics box. Since he's a pansexual switch of a softy when it comes to those he really cares about. I mean heck the guy even allows a person who wouldn't normally be allowed to be part of his group due to gender and their personality. Yet the fact that that character pulls their weight and is good at their job they allow to stay around. Which Cullen are we talking about? The one who thinks your a hallucination in Origins, the one in DA2 that goes most of the game not wanting to admit that their superior is going a bit far and later has gone crazy? Or the Cullen in Inquisition who is still struggling with what went down in DA2 until your Inquisitor has a few heart to hearts with the guy?

Anyway just because people disagree with your views doesn't mean that they don't want the game to succeed or to do better or that they're new fans to the series. Or that they might be bandwagoning. As my self and a few others have pointed out we have also been fans of the series for years and of XIV. That we have also played other games and have understandings of some of the themes the series over the years have imparted. One of those being the power of friendship, of bonds people make with another along a long trek to defeat a great evil or to try and correct a great wrong. They and myself are just don't feel that we're ten minutes out from the Titanic hitting the iceberg and need a dire course correction or the game will end up like said ship. So it would be nice if you'd stop treating people like most guys treat women in fandoms as some kind of fake fans and need to have read something like the Journey to the West from start to finish while also giving very precise details of what a character said in book two, in chapter 10, 7th paragraph down, second sentence in. In order to pass some arbitrary test.

Yes the OP gets similar treatment, but they get it due to bring up things that can be pointed out as a nitpick or doesn't get that Krile's whm outfit is a nod to the Devout outfit which is itself a callback. Which is another thing the series loves to do. Anyway if Krile is to get more time in the spot light I hope she gets better character development than she has gotten so far.

Because they had personal stakes and weren't afraid to show how horrible things were. Haurchefante's death is still a depressing moment for many players, just because we KNEW him for so long and he was genuinely likeable. Moenbryda's death hit hard too because she too was really likable. Nowadays they'd have to kill off Cid for a similar result, as it'd hurt the playerbase pretty bad due to how long we've known him.

Im very hopeful for this as well. Just...I like her character, but they just didnt DO much with her, and she always stays behind and offers very little to the group, despite giving the feeling she CAN do more. 7.0 giving her the time to Shine is very Welcomed.
Im forgetting his name at the moment, but there is a Youtuber who suggested she could be the New Face of the New Job as well as taking more of a Lead Role. I think that could be neat~ And I think at this point she's also the only Scion who hasn't undergone a Costume Change.
Her hoodie is cute, and I actually didnt know she is a Callback Reference to another FF game! But even so, it is time for a Wardrobe Change if we are going to see More of her.

I don't mind Krile, I like her, she's my favorite female scion (jury is still out on Zero, I doubt she makes it to 7.0). But that's by virtue of not being used as much as the rest, and coming off more tolerable than her peers. I'm willing to grant a little benefit of the doubt.

Also, the "goofy" comment was something said by the actress, a harmless comment, I doubt she's gonna turn into Daffy Duck.

Japanese media has a habit of having a very particular sense of humor, and falling into tonal whiplash, my formative years were mostly jRPG and other staple series like MGS or Resident Evil, so I know a little. It is part of the charm I guess. It wouldn't be the same without it (but I must confess that I'm growing less fond of it in recent years).

The reason I don't really enjoy it in Endwalker is that it feels inorganic, fan mandated, and mostly ineffective. More concerned with getting all those sweet updoots on reddit or polluting my youtube main page with screaming bearded men and crying women. Not really born out of character or plot.

Personally, I feel this whole HW/ShB style kinda Era feel is quite hard to pin down with a definition.
and ties it too much to a definition or Era that those for. and against it will always be seen as those against either the history of where the game came from and grew.
or those who will always push forward, the past is the past.
<when the game carries the past into its own future.., specially with all the references and connections that make sense in some form that the writing team have conjured. like a certain clone in a certain sharp tower>

one thing clear, is that when possible, it is used there.
should the game have harsh realities, the devs plant it down. should it have moments to take a breather, they make space.
[let alone the fact the newest in the series will at face/trailer value will go harder in such features.., <which I'm all for, since that opens the gate for less restrictions on future content. and more building in the world, in not only the heavy, but also the soft.> which yp, for now slips into the games when he can, as he has wished to make one such game before.]

    all that said.
The game has done alright for me as I went through.
And the games of the series will be molded by what the newer make.
XIV's Lack of nailing to a certain type is shaking out new ideas. and one of them has crystallized into the surface layer of XVI[which will no doubt have softer layers to polish the edges it'll no doubt have in further parts of the game]

XIV will probably end up being both Extremes merging in the middle.
[or I'd hope so, in a acceptable way. but not in a happy medium. but a normalized one.]

The past of the series will always carry on. but it's pretty darn Preservatives to say it will not included more, of which the series never had before.
