Nope, just the facts according to the lore. Gaius would never join the Scions, theres way too much bad blood between him and virtually everybody. His past is his own to deal with, he has a lot of ghosts to lay to rest.

OP is right we dont need anymore Goofiness. Is this kingdom hearts? Are we all 10 year old shonen fans? The reasons I like final fantasy games are conspicuously missing from XIV nowadays. Supernatural events, political intrigue, the adventures of a tight-knit party, nuanced and deep storylines. The more content they put out, the more I wonder whether this game is even aimed at people like me anymore. I listen to people describe (probably exaggerating for social points) crying at the blandest moments, like an audience on command. "Hehe, look all of your friends are dying! But you have a magic resurrection crystal, dont use it though!" Lmao get real. Endwalker was an insult for people invested in the plot threads set up in ShB. The fact they're giving more plot time to this boring ass 2 dimensional character doesnt exactly fill me with confidence. Because after the lacklustre conclusion to the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga, of course we need a hydaelyn sock puppet following us around, like someone tied a henry hoover to the WoL. Needless to say, the story is no longer the reason I play this game which is a shame.

Krile is boring because she is an expie of the same character from FF5 right down to the name being exactly the same along with the White Mage clothes. And adding the tidbit that Krile has a ponytail is expected since FF5 has the same thing.

All that's missing is Krile looking directly at the player in a creepy doll fashion like she does in FF5 in her battle sprites.

Why would you research generic devouts rather than Krile specifically?

I have no idea why you want to change FFXIV from its origins as a balanced high fantasy story into that. There are other games that suit those specific tastes better than this one ever could.

Since you never played any of the other games. You would realize that FFXIV's tone and themes are part of the series tradition to mix in light-hearted humor with fantasy elements, not the way you like to believe.

But I guess somebody who likes to complain about burgers in an already established world filled with high tech fantasy would fail to understand that.
