    Its kinda weird with MCH,
    there used to be time (was it end of Stormblood?) when MCH was part of speed-run composition (it had to do with that legacy piercing-buff, that DRG used to have).

    I'm not saying whether that is right or wrong. But I would feel that MCH - as a selfish DPS - should be just slightly below the melee dps and slightly above SMN/RDM/DNC/BRD.

    Why it is not I don't know, supposedly SE is realy strugling with its design.

    That was HW.

    Basically, DRG had the piercing debuff that permanently buffed the damage of BRD and MCH. I can't remember if it was 5 or 15%, in any case it was insanely strong.
    Then you had Ninja with Trick Attack. SAM and RPR weren't in yet, MNK was basically a TP joke and didn't had brotherhood.

    Since raidbuffs were limited to Ninja, MCH, BRD, DRG and SMN you could just stack them.
    But there was only 4 DPS spot and DRG synergized with BRD&MCH. Ninja was a no-brainer.
    On top of that, Wildfire was a 60s and simply repeated a percentage of the total damage dealt. Which means it worked with any buffs.

    Stormblood MCH was not bad, it was just a real pain to play and BRD just gave the whole party 2% critical hit just by existing.
    MCH had Dismantle which was Addle but on a 60s CD and BRD had Troubadour which was similar to tactician, I think the effect depended on your song thought.
