Please give us the Ancients' Mask

Now that they're adding "Solus" as a minion I see no reason as to why we cannot wear his robes. The time for new male NPC outfits to come to the online store is long overdue, with both his and the Exarch's being absent despite having the potential to be quite popular.

Exarch will happen sooner or later. Both Healer and Caster Rinascita sets gr8ly resemble Emets attire but bc hes a villain we will likely never see him on the mogstation. We have Omega sure but its a jank undyable one piece and Omega is a raid villain, not msq.
If we ever get a villain set Gaius' Legatus attire will likely be first (heirsbane gunblade optional).
This all said I really dont want them adding more npc hero or villain sets unless theyre multipiece and dyable. I see chicas in the Ryne boots all the time even more people will buy sets if you can pick and choose what you're wearing.

One I would love Gaius’ Ascian Hunter set, for so many reasons i dont really care about the legatus outfit but it’d be cool.

Two: just because Emet appeared as a villain doesn’t mean anything. Bozja had Legatus (judge) armors, as you pointed out there’s also Omega, Amon’s armor is in CT.

Three: Emet Selch isn’t really a villain. I mean without him we wouldn’t have gotten to the final boss of Endwalker, we would have never discovered the truth in Elpis. There’s even a questline that asks you whether you agree more with Emet Selch or Venat. So it’s not unreasonable to want his mask and attire. (Plus actual ascian robes has been requested for awhile now and it would be a cool way to fulfill out promise to Emet Selch at the end of Shadowbringers and remember them.

If I had to hazard a guess the reason why the Sophist Robe doesn't allow the hood/mask to be worn up is once again due to problems getting it to 'fit' on hrothgar faces which of course are not human shaped at all (remember, the mask is designed for a human face, not a lion's). So to avoid such issues they wrote it into the story that visitors to Elpis had to take their masks off and hoods down, which is why the Sophist set is like that by default.

I still definetely support this though - maybe even have the possibility of getting Azem's mask, even if it's just a replica.

yknow, not giving a player race an eyemask related to their oh so important progenitor species because "oh its hard ;_;" is absolutely something they would do, just like how they screwed Viera and Hrothgar out of the appointed cap. Yeah sure guys it totally falls in line with Ameliances character to give Wol a item they absolutely cant use, great job.

Agreed. As much as I'd prefer that the mask would be available for everyone, I'd rather have the item for most people and not Hrothgars than not at all.

The very simple reason why you can't wear the hood up is that nothing in the game has an adjustable hood like that. You would need a second gear piece to switch to.

I think a "hood up" version is unlikely as it doesn't currently exist, but the face mask and maskless robe are right there to be used.

But generally speaking, they need to be more open and willing about opening up more NPC attires for the general players to wear. Wouldn't even care if they were cash shop.

I would definitely like them to put in more cheap Mog Station* items like the ARR Scion sets for other NPCs that use generic gear and don't need any work to resize for other models. They could even be made unisex.

Characters like Ysayle, G'raha (CT outfit) and Moenbryda would give us all-class versions of gear that is currently locked to one group.

There is still a fairly long list of unique outfits we haven't gotten, either. City leaders and such. (I still want Raya-O-Senna's coat and flower hairpin.)

Also, more NPC weapons. There are a few nice ones around.

I feel like Solus's robes are more viable for NPC gear than the Exarch's robes.

Also Gaius's Shadowhunter outfit seems more likely than his Garlean armour. The armour is weirdly proportioned since they're trying to bulk up an Elezen model to look like a different build.

Yessssss, casters have the dumb witch hat slapped on the shadowless/ktisis sets, I'd love to actually be able to use an ancient mask ;A;

Eyeballing that mask, I have a sneaking suspicion it probably clips through like 80% of the hairstyles in the game. And I wonder if that might not be a factor in why it's not been made available to us.

Pretty much any hairstyle with bangs will clip through existing masks/circlets.
