What items do you get from them?
I'd like a Striking Dummy on the Island Sanctuary.
Re: Aetheryte Travel: It doesn't get you everywhere you want to go. That's always been the case. It's great that you mention Doman because that's how you have to get to Bozja. Eureka is gated at Kugane. There's a story reason, but there's also a technical reason as these destinations are prone to congestion. Housing (which IS is apparently sharing server space with) also works the same way. You go to the ward first. So after taking a good look at the exchange shop and reaching island level 7 so far, i must say im disapointed in this overhyped Yoshi Guy once again. It has the same issue like the Doman Enclave and Similar content. Once you are done, you are done. There is no point in sticking with this content longer than you need to, it dosent add any long term beneficals for the main game as far i could tell. You cant get resources for the real professions, you cant exchange the tokens in anything usefull (no i dont count the materia as usefull), except from the furnishings you cant sell anything fromt the exchange store on the market (would be otherwise a nice alternative way to earn some money) and there is not even an aetheryte there to teleport there directly.
At every stupid corner of FF14 is and Aetheryte, but when you travel to the Fareyman to visit your island again there is not even another cutscene that shows you on a ship travling to your island. I allready didnt expectet much from this content, seeing how SE behaved during the last years, but im still disapointet. The island could have been something nice to hang out or a different kind of content with replaybility like the gold saucer where it is rewarding to come back and doing the minigames again and again. But no SE screwed up once again.
Finally got to play it after some days without being able to get into the instance...
Why on earth we can't build a small or medium house there? Like, it's literally the PERFECT platform to have them, and it would certainly resolve a big chunk of the housing demand.
Housing there would also create something to do while you wait for those timers, since one can sink a lot of time with furnishing.
They hinted that Islands would have additions in the future patches, so I hope they consider this! I don't even mind if a housing plot is gated behind a high Island development rank.

4 islands allready on rank 6..., just wow i dont know what to say. I still have more enough to do with the one from my main, even if i wanted i wouldnt know where to get the time for this. But thats maybe because i have a job and can only play in the evening.

So some evil data miners posted more space that showed what looked like a medium house. This could be anything though. Here is what I think the biggest problem, minus SE paying for enough servers. Housing has an indoor and outdoor. And a framework with how certain things interact. While this is an island we are clearly indoors. I think/hope that this might be some sort of proof of concept of instance housing. So saying they can pull off X and Y, they just need more servers and how much players embrace a little bit more generic space.
