Because it's inconsequential. I'm not even sure why they did it. We get a bank a little more to spend on the respective materia. Watch out savage tier!![]()

A 900 weekly cap is ~130 tomes a day which is an expert and a few other roulettes. That's definitely not "no lifer" status. It would actually incentivize people to touch the 5678, trials, normal raid etc etc instead of just doing an Expert a day.the point, I believe, is that despite your wishes, they do not want or expect you to live to play, such as some of the systems WoW inserted over the years where it made it to where a game was a job.
they want you to occasionally go outside, touch grass etc.not game 24/7 farming tomes.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Money pot argument, you have to be dense to believe YoshiP doesn't have finance folks on the team that work the analytics as their day job to make sure you stay subbed all the way through the tier. Or basically all-year is the goal. Same ordeal with savage gear, tokens for pity buys, and anything that has a lockout. Even events like moogle tomes is a way to keep a sub going. The objective is to stretch major content like 6.2 for as long as they can. It's a scheme, and if you want to gear every job to savage top-level, that plays right into their hands of paying up.

A larger cap would just tank the AH market on sellable tome items
Yep. People want to forget / ignore the fact that this is a business and treat it like some kind of charity. This kind of model is actually beneficial to both sides.Money pot argument, you have to be dense to believe YoshiP doesn't have finance folks on the team that work the analytics as their day job to make sure you stay subbed all the way through the tier. Oh I know right!!!? The only content this game has gotten in the past year was a reskinned Faire, I mean we got nothing else amirite? They also certainly have no content due in under a week either!! What are they doing!?!?!?!Excuses for being lazy and stay in the comfort zone where you as a dev can tell people to stop play the game and comeback every 3-4 months, but hey if you have a house the discourse changes. Genshin as a example I had 4 events stacked (fully voiced, new mechanics, new maps to explore, new dungeons, new trails etc even if the mobs are reused) and 2 days ago a web designed event full of rewards and with pretty art style.
What we have here? nothing besides talk to NPC Y - >Z get your swimsuit (once again appealing to RP community) and see you later next year with the same stuff or in 3-4 months later with the same "event" from the last decade.

Poetic cap change would be nice. But unlikely. For some reason fates in Eureka give poetics. Not sure how they are tied to Eureka besides here some poetics. But you would have to leave the instance/party and spend poetics and then come back.
This seems weird. But I don't mind the random box from GC seals. A random box from poetics could eat a nice chunk and make people feel less like poetics are worthless. Unless you are doing very specific content poetics aren't super valuable, several patches out of an expansions life cycle.

LMAO.
FFxiv has the level of grinds to which wow could never compare.
that aside, wow's issue was things being timegated and limited, and when game was at its peak there were close to no timegates, everyone was allowed to play at their own pace.
if FFxiv really wanted to let players go outside, and take breaks from the game, they're rework their housing system, where if u unbsub for 2 months all your items including your house goes poof with 0 refunds.
