Considering I can teleport to the doorstep of my FC house where there is no crystal....the lore explanation doesn't really cut it lol. That said, I'm not really bothered by it personally.

If the content is fun, this won't make a lick of difference. If engagement and participation drops it will be because the content was not able to sustain the player's interest past the novelty stage. Another reason I could see is that the content actually is so vast that a player might have trouble adding it to their current list of activities they participate in. There is definitely no getting around the participation level in Island Sanctuary dropping several weeks after its release, and I really don't think teleportation access would do much to sustain those initial levels.
I definitely get that it is a little inconvenient, much like getting to the Firmament, and I am willing to bet that you will be able to use the Island's currency to buy tickets that will instantly take you there. Would you be cool with that?

wouldn't be surprisedIt would make sense to first only get there by boat and Lower La Noscea is the closest dock..
And later, through upgrading the island and increasing your rank, you can build an Aetheryte so everyone with access and the owner itself of course can teleport there. I hope they consider it for later upgrades of the feature because I think they would've mentioned it if it was already part of the upgrading process.
similar to how the doman enclave didn't initially have an aetheryte til it was "fixed up" a bit
Did they do away with the necessity of the mini aethryte crystal? You use to need them to connect your house to the teleport listing.
Our lord and prophet aveyond is here to tell what's up. Island Sanctuary was doomed from the start it seems
Aetheryte would be my preferred solution but tickets for Island Sanctuary currency would also work well.
I like that suggestion, it would also keep farming it more relevant because I suspect we'd run out of things to buy after a bit. Free teleports to somewhere are always nice.
For the record, I agree and would very much like and prefer to being able to warp to the island but I also understand this games engine with instances is very finicky and I'm pretty sure the devs have thought about this issue and figure they'll find a solution somewhere down the road. Point being is they wanted to release IS as it's a hyper piece of content for this game, no matter what the cynics say otherwise

I mean they could give you a mini aetherite at a later point in time. Which is what you need in order to directly teleport to a house of any kind. Otherwise you have to use the town's aetherite and to teleport to the ward you want and then choose the closest mini aetherite. This feels like complaining for the sake of complaining. Heck even if they don't give us a mini aetherite they could later on allow us to teleport to our island sanctuary from the one in Moraby Docks. Doesn't this sort of help populate the open world? Even if you don't see a crowd at the npc I'm sure a sprout would occasionally see someone use the npc and wonder what that's about.
I feel the teleporting to the island from Moraby is the most likely change they will do, since to get to the resistance base to access Bozja, you had to use the Doman Enclave aetherite, or go to the docks.I mean they could give you a mini aetherite at a later point in time. I also feel that there will be some sort of notification when you unlock it as to where to go for it for anyone who doesn't learn about it until they get to the end of EW.
