Did someone mention that it should be the thing, or an option, to share the island with all the Alts on the account? Rather than having a separate Island, and Island progression for each Alt?

My alts are all level 90 endgame and they'll all get their island now it will depend how much I like it which will determine how much time I'll spend on it. Personally if relic proves to be a big disappointment for me given we aren't getting new relic zones and maybe just running old content my time sink might end up being Sanctuary and not relic. I lived in Eureka and Bozja cause I found it fun.I'm sorry but an activity that apparently is a full time sink, why would you want to do it on alts as well? Like, I'm sure that if you get at it you can spend 24/7 on it on a single character.
Also 2 dozen alts and all around level 50?? Why not, you know, focus on one or a few and take them to endgame, instead of having 24 alts at lvl 50?
i too think level 90 is a bit of a surprise.
Edit: I've seen a reward list (not official one) and it's pretty massive and I suspect those will not be something you can earn easily. I just hope they're not lockbox rng related like relic and bunny fates. They seem to be purchasable with Island currency so that might be a plus to grinding them.
I doubt alts can share. I suspect it's going to be friend related with a personal invite mechanic and for those of us with alts we know how that goes. I can share my house with friends but not my own account which is why some of us have chosen FC's over personal residences. Love to be personally surprised.

Maybe the island is in a place that's not accessible to newbies.
I am easy going about such things but I do admit L90 is a bit of an odd choice, at most I'd make it 80, the starting point of the expansion so the island content can be mixed in and consumed alongside the current content. I guess it could be lore based but it seems a bit of a waste to worry about something that is supposed to be very "side content", me personally I would have set it at 50, once you're through ARR you're mostly planted firmly in the game.
you could make similar complaint about any other content that's been added to the game at "X" expansion lol
I would not have minded if, like jobs, the content was available at a lower level but required the expansion.
The MSQ does not need to gatekeep as hard as it is.
Yeah but most of that stuff is either storyline or level/ilvl based, a raid, a side-story etc etc. It makes sense that you can't do Bozja at L10 or do Stormblood content before Heavensward.
Island is meant to be almost divorced from the existing game systems; why is PVP available so much earlier, it is a similar system to Islands. Doesn't affect me but it is an odd gate.
While it is a bit surprising they require completion of the EW MSQ it isn't unusual. Everything is gated behind the MSQ, for all we know the island is tied to Sharlayan in some way. Though that is a stretch, and I do hope others can still visit regardless of MSQ completion.
As for Steps of Faith. That instance needed the adjustment. I mean, you could already practically solo it at level without breaking a sweat with how hard they had to nerf it because people kept complaining about how hard it was. I cleared it day one, and while it was a challenge the challenge was really only in getting a bunch of randos to communicate and work as a team. Can't really blame SE for that, that one is on the players for refusing to do the group game play thing. At this point it is just easier to make it a solo instance so they never have to worry about someone complaining about it again (though of course someone will).
