Yes, there has been individuals that did indeed formulated the support for changes on a more concrete, logical & reasonable way…what went wrong? Celes would re-affirm her/his stance in such a way to label that individual as any lesser or simply “does NOT know the job or is Trolling”, and clearly Rensu & Flashy isn’t any different on it likewise.

Why else do I act as I do & though I may be conscious of it, I take it as an entertainment now since civility of discussion was long gone & though from time to time I’ve kept reinforcing my stance it clearly was NOT specific enough or just being dismissed & likely get flamed on. Dare again to link my previous past posts? Look further again…but more clearly…look at other’s, particularly those that aggravated further that are aligned to your ideals; love the hypocrisy no?

I hate to reinforce this to you Afro, the forums are a general social haven to discuss & disagree from all aspects, and ultimately it seems you & others just get easily riled up by a certain opposition.

Expertise at a Job
Yes, I mean it. Want health advice? Don't go McDonalds, go to a Doctor. Need Wooden wall fixed? Don't go to a Chef, go see a Carpenter. Want Samurai feedback taken serious? Don't go to a Weaver main, take them from Samurai mains. Simple logic, even more so if there's no real backing to having Samurai experiences at high-end content or having pushed the job to it's limits to showcase some understanding of the Job we're all passionate about.

Admitting desiring more Simplification and Normal content
Valid opinion. However, neglecting the impact the changes has done to other players who enjoy some nuances and complexity already from other jobs and now ours? Is very dismissive. Plus at the least come with a valid argument of why it fixes something, cause it didn't fix anything.

Who is perpetuating what
Rarely do we see in a Forum how players gush about how something is amazing. They wouldn't be here, they would just be playing the game. It's like customers at a restaurant. You won't hear them talk 2 hours about how they liked the buffet in the chef's and waiters faces, no they will be eating. Yet we see forum parsing in the form of obvious trolling, admitting to it as well, see link above.

Staying on topic
Defending a virtual anonymous character is a choice? but irrelevant. We care about the topic, the content of each post. The argument points, evidence, references, feedback posts and video's to perhaps back it up, experiences, and in-depth discussed in detail. Which is all missing, so it's pretty easy to refute it all as a jest.

What's funny is that if players would actually 1st improve at a game, rather then going to the forum 1st to complain, they would actually get some mediocre PvE content. Alas, it's not everyone's cup of wine/ tea.

Another point I find funny is that some used to use the " Kaiten is a button you press every time " argument as to showcase how easy it is to execute it, when players literally forget to Feint in every party finder Savage Raid I join. And on the other hand it's " To Complex " for ugh... Il Mheg fate farming... my furniture... I digress

We want a revert. And many disagreeing not just me to a post? might be a sign of something... As for how far I would go? I guess you can test your trolling towards my passion to want to improve a Job in a game a came to love.

The only point I am on accordance with you its the lack of SE communication which yes has indeed made us question twice the current state of the game, moreso the unprecedented changes in general which either way its applying further anxiety in most of us (be it job changes or otherwise). Frankly I am not as content with their absence & given we’re far from the pandemic it is in no excuse for them to further justify their long silence….we can only hold & see what friday brings.

Those are some good opinions that I wouldn't immediately dismiss, unlike some of the others around here posted by people that just grabbed the job crystal from ul'dah. Good to know Vencio wasn't always a dumbass.

I just get annoyed because, to me, 6.1 SAM problems are more than just the removal of button we press before Iaijutsu. People that don't even have the jobstone capped will come in here with that argument, but I don't really care to entertain a conversation about how the job plays fine with/without Kaiten. Because sure, it does play fine and somebody that's never played the job won't notice any problems. It's just not something I can continue playing after experiencing 5.4 and (even though the job got a little dumbed down in Endwalker imo, but still enjoyable) 6.08 SAM.

Also this not a job I want to optimize in savage anymore due to lack of synergy. A lot of my game value is reclearing savage and trying to push the leaderboards, but this feeling of feeling bad that I'm bringing my team down in that environment sucks,
or even being locked out of parties due to anti-synergy with a pure DPS LUL. I could barely be bothered to reclear after 6.1 dropped.

Our AOE is the biggest meme and I had high interests in the 4 man content but we never got any potency returned to Tenka Goken, I can't remember if Kyuten was buffed but I don't care about AOE at much in current content, i haven't done an expert dungeon since getting my SAM gear anyway pre 6.1

But anyway I'll probably be leaving the forums after Friday's liveletter and couldn't careless about a dumbass's redemption arc on the forums, I'm here to do what yoshi p has asked and I've provided some feedback and have been following Celesti and the others feedback for a while and they have spoken out for us in a better way than I could ever hope for as a little ol' nobody SAM enjoyer.

I don't care for redemption arcs either. Silly to me. But I am highlighting things for perspective. While pointless to do because it's up to one party to figure out what they need to do, it's also interesting to point out.

As for the live letter, well...Let's just say I'm walking in to it with really low expectations and disappointment. Considering they never talked about their changes for well over a few months (yet pvp black mage changes were talked about the literal day they were made), you can see why I feel this way.

Worst case scenario, I would just like an explanation to the changes so I can stop speculating and getting mad about it. Leon in the forums brought up some good points that may get addressed but it was a few weeks ago so I forget. Will have to dig through my history.

At least then I can decide if I want to resub or not, even though the fully released 6.2 looks like it will be the best patch in a while, and I'd hate to miss out on it.

I just don't want to play a new job. Farmed bis for RPR and that was cool but I felt like I was playing it because SAM is in a bad spot and not because I want to play RPR

Anyway, I just hope we don't get blueballed. I just want to hear, in-depth

why they had to change SAM a patch early of the crit changes coming in 6.2

why they felt the need to change the job one expansion early to make room to be expanded upon in 7.0,

why they couldn't have the decency to explain what "action bloat" meant because the APM of the job was unchanged (one less cast per minute) and they introduced the action bloat problem by making Namikiri and Shoha II their own buttons (Shoha II animation sucks btw)

Wish I wasn't so hung up on one job in a video game lol but that's what I get for one tricking a job. I thought it was treated similar to BLM in terms of being "safe" from this bs

You didn't come off rude. I've called him a troll on many occasions. It's not a known secret I think that. But I am also highlighting that trollish behavior is met with rude responses. While on the flipside, opinions without insults are met with less rage.

Still, I'm just prepared for disappointment on Friday.

I'd suggest the primary driver of class design and balancing these days is optimising the number of subscriptions and gaining new players. The way they have chosen to do that the last couple of years is simplification and predictability.

I've been playing FFXI and FFXIV and it breaks my heart what they've done with my chosen play styles.

I wish there were enough of us to make them rethink their strategy but I don't think there is.
