That isn't a mentor thing, it's a veteran player thing. They have seen these duties lots of times and just want to get their roulette or duty done. To them it's easy because they have done it many times and they are just bored. Oh, sprout falling for the usual thing, here's a rescue. Ok duty done, bye.

The reason it seems like mentors do it is because veteran players are often mentors and the crown tells you that they are veteran players, but you will eventually meet veteran players who hide their crown or never picked it up and behave exactly the same way.
