I just wish it had a less clunky name.
Hate ... hmm. Old beast tribes and fetch quest aka the "kill me 5 rats - oh you did, gg and all that. Now bring me 3 hides of rat moms because you the hero an actual warmachine and an one man army need to kill rodents and after that will deliver a letter to my grandma for reasons that or so special i dont even explain them to you". This game has already a lot of quest with a lot to read but this is "aaaaarrrrgghh" to me.
When I saw that we were going from Broil III at 290 potency in ShB to Broil IV at 295 potency in EW, I was shaking with how excited I was. I couldn't believe they were so generous with a whole 5 potency. I'm going to probably scream in excitement when 7.0 comes out and Broil V hits 300 potency, playing SCH going to be WILD once it hits 300!!!
Why do you hate sprouts?
They could just make it so in order to enter the alliance roulette, you have to meet the ilvl of the content you already have unlocked and can enter. So if you're level 60+ and haven't unlocked Void Ark yet, you just need the ilvl to enter CT. If you are level 70, skipped Void Ark, but have Ivalice unlocked, you MUST have the necessary ilvl to enter Ivalice on that job in order to enter Alliance roulette. This makes cheesing to get only CT impossible unless you skipped every other alliance raid in the game, while also prevents it from blockading players who haven't unlocked the content yet.
I tend to get a lot of satisfaction from helping newer players have a good time, and players in general. It's akin to the same principle I apply in life...if I can make someone smile or make their day a little less shitty, it was worth getting up that morning. As was already said, they're partially about helping others - particularly new players.
If you've played it before you probably know the mechanics and have an idea of what to expect. That can be communicated to the Sprouts in the team who've never done it before, particularly the Sprouts who outright say "I'm new".
And the reward for participation is certainly of benefit too.
Bold of you you to assume a lot of people bothered unlocking the other raids. They could just make it so in order to enter the alliance roulette, you have to meet the ilvl of the content you already have unlocked and can enter. The old ones suck. Ivalice, in particular, sucks hardcore. It's a wipefest, and not something I enjoy wasting my time with, and WILL leave if it pops.

"Ivalice sucks".
Opinion discarded. Ivalice raids are nowhere the wipefest you try to sell us it is.
