About the duty roulette is that i have to play through 20/30/40/50/60/70 or 80 level dungeons. Like what is the point of this? Why do i sit through and play level 20 dungeon when i am level 80. This is the only mmorpg that i've seen doing this so far. And it is even worse because it is in FFXIV. Because most of the classes are dead boring before level 60- and some of them even level 70. Black mage for example. I wanna use my daily one time play rewards as a black mage but the idea of getting matched for level 20-50 level dungeon is literally making me wanna get violent, cause you know black mage is one of the most -if it isn't the worst- boring class before level 60. So i just wanted to share this frustration of mine. I wish things were diffrent

You get well rewarded for doing all the roulette's. They are there to help others.

As was already said, they're partially about helping others - particularly new players.

If you've played it before you probably know the mechanics and have an idea of what to expect. That can be communicated to the Sprouts in the team who've never done it before, particularly the Sprouts who outright say "I'm new".

And the reward for participation is certainly of benefit too.

New players wouldn't have anyone to do dungeons with if they choose to without roulettes. It's not just about veteran players giving guidance, it's about veteran players participating. People would primarily stick to dungeons where they can't solo clear for items or where they'd start spending a few runs per level.

We all know how people are. If there's no clear benefit to them then they won't participate.

I tend to get a lot of satisfaction from helping newer players have a good time, and players in general. It's akin to the same principle I apply in life...if I can make someone smile or make their day a little less shitty, it was worth getting up that morning.

If you don't like low level dungeons then you don't have to queue for them. That's what those roulettes give you.

This system is better because it allows you to sync down to the rotation you did in that expansion. There are some adjustments over time, but a lot of the essence of the rotation we had at those levels is intact. It's when you can no longer do the old rotations that players begin to yearn for a "classic" version of the game and there is not much interest in this among players right now because of how we can sync down.

Well, you don't have to do roulettes, you could just que up for the level 80 dungeon u wanna run. Roulettes are just there to help newcomers. But then again most of the players I run into are quite seasoned. I do see spouts here and there. But yeah it gets frustrating cause the daily roulette are more aimed towards lower level content. There isn't any for end game or higher level content.

What I do HATE is 6.2's Island Sanctuary, it seems more like WoW's Garrison.

You can either not do roulettes or get 3 friends so you can do Limited Leveling Roulette where it will put you and your light party at the highest level dungeon it can put you.

I really really just wish theyd make CT alliance solo instances 6/7 daily alliance roulettes are "hey do you wanna be bored with your trash lv50 skills so 1 person at best can advance the story?" its so annoying like no wonder 3 or 4 people leave every day.
Like OP said not 1 job in this game is even mildly fun at lv50 most dont feel good until 70 but boy oh boy getting Syrcus or Labyrinth every day is so thrilling.
