Its not that hard to grasp: We wanted a new gen FFXI. This doesn't mean carbon copy FFXI, but that it kept the same spirit. Like how Dark Souls improved upon Demon's Souls.

Something more dynamic, but as rough and elaborate as XI. XIV seems to be designed so that even kids can play.

In XI you could to mix your job with a subjob, time everything properly, it forced everyone to play together. It was so great.
