My signature is edible. Go ahead, try some.
FFXIV is looking better every day though... and I actually see Yoshi sneaking some of the cool stuff from FFXI into this game
All in all I think Yoshi-P wants to satisfy both crowds and if he can find a happy medium... this game will be awesome....
Im in "Sit-back-and-enjoy-the-ride" mode

I want XI all over again.
Serious, not joking.
Bring Quality Notorious Monsters to FFXIV!

Basing it off of WoW is a terrible idea because the two franchises are entirely different types of games. The Warcraft games were always real time strategy type games. In fact that's pretty much what blizzard was, a real time strategy producer.
FF on the other hand is supposed to be an RPG. I can understand those who don't want an FFXI clone but for the love of god keep it an RPG. Fast leveling and what not works well for a real time strategy type game but it doesn't work well for an RPG.
My biggest gripes with ff12/13 was they tried to be a different genre of game than the FF series is. If we wanted to play another kind of game then we would, we play FF because we want a turn based game with the ATB.
Dude, WOW is an MMORPG. It is exactly the same type of game as FFXIV. I fail to see why you go ahead and compare Warcraft games(RTS) to previous FF titles(RPG), when we are talking MMO here which is exactly what XIV and WOW are.
I'm absolutely fed up with people saying this.
A ) It's a 10 year old PS2 game
B ) They ruined it years ago
If people want an FFXI-2 they have every right to because SE owes us for sticking by them all those years and making the damn thing a success. FFXI fans paid their salaries for 10 years but they can't be bothered with us.
It's the same excuse we heard for ps3 not having ps2 backwards compatibility that whole "if you want to play a ps2 game go play your ps2".
I didn't mean to offend you... Your answer is "Because FFXI was great years ago but has since been made less fun for me"I'm absolutely fed up with people saying this.

I can respect that.... Why does it bother you when someone asks why you're playing FFXIV instead of FFXI? I didn't mean it sarcastically... If you asked me why I play this game, I can tell you

LOLLLL! S-E owns you nothing dude lol. They made the game a success and made you stick to it because of what the devs delivered. PERIOD.
Now they want to make FFXIV a mmo that appeals to a wide audience, casuals and hardcore alike and then make a few mill in the process. The goal is certainly not pleasing 20k hardcore XI fans who can't let go of their nostalgia and then show a 50 million dollar loss to their investors. Case closed.
