That isn't always so black and white. You can give tips to someone using the most flowery language, fill it will smileys and do everything possible to be nice and polite, but if that person doesn't wanna hear it, you are opening yourself up to a ban. This has been proven again and again over the past decade by ppl getting temp bans just for trying to help, no matter how friendly they are about it.

SE sees no difference between polite advice and someone spitting insults if the person on the receiving end is too soft or just wants to be a jerk, so many of us just ere on the side of caution and stay quiet or leave.
