    GameStop doesn't create the advertisements. SquareEnix creates and sends to GameStop and others ("retailers") who then then distribute them. SquareEnix increases their reach with the retailer's customers and those retailers get the advertising dollars SquareEnix sent their way to promote their advertisements.
