How to fix housing in 2 steps

1) Add instanced houses to the instanced apartment systems. Some (most?) of us just want an exterior and gardening space.
2) I realize this might be controversial. If always-on wards do in fact require significant additional server resources there should be a (small) additional monthly fee required. This money could be used to expand server resources to allow for more wards if necessary so that everyone that wanted one could get one. It would also discourage individual players from hoarding large amounts of plots.

We all ready paid for housing its in the description of the game (Taken from gamestop ff14 page)

How about SE just fixs the problem with instance houses or stop advertising the game has them????

Just because you don't have a house in Ishgard doesn't mean the game has not provided what it advertised.

First off I dont have a house cause im waiting for transfer thank you.. Its not about me havening a house in a zone i personally dont even like lol Its about advertising stuff you cant supply to all players.. As far as a apartment i have one thank you...

I just ducked into a random Empyreum ward on my server. 13 apartments are purchased. Out of... what's the cap? 90 per ward?

What you want isn't available, but it doesn't mean SE hasn't delivered. There are FC rooms readily available for all. Any legit FC that wants a house should have one by now. And if an FC isn't a player's thing? Apartments are still readily available.

Frankly, SE might be looking at both the bids every lottery cycle on plots and then also looking at the number of unused apartment spaces in Empyreum and see the disparity. Both are a place to decorate and call your own. One is readily available still.

Anyone who equates Gamestop marketing FFXIV as having "a new residential district" to being a promise from SE that players will be provided with a detached house has, at best, some serious English comprehension issues. And at worst ... well, let's just send them our thoughts and prayers, shall we?

GameStop doesn't create the advertisements. SquareEnix creates and sends to GameStop and others ("retailers") who then then distribute them. SquareEnix increases their reach with the retailer's customers and those retailers get the advertising dollars SquareEnix sent their way to promote their advertisements.

I didn't. I said Ishgard has apartments, which is an option one has in lieu of NOT having any housing. It's not Square's fault if you willfully choose homelessness.

Apartments aren't housing, they're just an FC room you can't lose. (I wouldn't be surprised if that's part of the reason they can't be upgraded.)

There's a whole category of housing furniture that's not available as they don't have an outside section, so they don't give full access to the housing system.
