They want the community tho to collaborate and discuss different things on their own to discover tips and tricks for gardening. that's why it's made the way it is.
Gardening doesn't need a sophisticated interface like that. What gardening could use however is some kind of in-game log that keeps tracks of your gardening so you don't have to go to ffxivgardening to look up something you have already successfully planted, tended, and acquired yield from. Of course, you can do this yourself, but it would be very convenient if the game did this for you.




That basically goes away completely with tools like ffxivgardening. No one collaborates with the exception of those running that site and maintaining its database. They do all the work, and we play Simon Says.





That's still community collaboration.
You should see the fishing Discord on new patch drops.
yeah the people that are interested join the the community/discord to talk behind the scenes to plan the website content. the people that just want the info use the site and implement it in game. still community collaboration.
there is a certain amount of out of game discussion expected with an MMO. Not everything can or should be in game.
