I'd go a step further. Some sort of actual Gardening interface would be a very nice QoL.

Similar to seeing the values for your abilities on the new crafting interface, you could for instance see what effect this soil would have on this plant. You could see percentage chances of what you get based on what was planted where. There would be a Tend All option so you could tend to everything in the given plot at once. And lots of other ideas. I feel things like Gardening and Fishing need overhauls of their entire interfaces, so this information is available in game and not just on outside websites.

And, if you use their app, you can do that even if not playing the game '-'

We really need a timer for the gardenings. And it would be good if it shows in the same app I mentioned in a way we could tend to our plants from distance instead of kill our hours in our real jobs just for saving flowers xD

The game requires you to check your plants. If you don't have time for that, then you don't have time for gardening.

Gardening doesn't need a sophisticated interface like that. What gardening could use however is some kind of in-game log that keeps tracks of your gardening so you don't have to go to ffxivgardening to look up something you have already successfully planted, tended, and acquired yield from. Of course, you can do this yourself, but it would be very convenient if the game did this for you.

Agreed. One of the first comments in this thread was the ability to tend all at once. Those are the kind of feedback suggestions that would come by giving the community more access to gardening.

Speaking of, I wonder if they're ever going to bother to add a new bonus the HQ++ soils. Near as I can tell right now, they do nothing.

They want the community tho to collaborate and discuss different things on their own to discover tips and tricks for gardening. that's why it's made the way it is.

the different types of soil definitely do something, each has their own effect. increased yield, increased chance of crossbreeding etc.

Yes. They're talking about the third type that makes your crops high quality, which is something they did away with in 6.0. For now, it's just one less thing to bother with.

Plants a fickle creatures. One might decide to bloom early, another too late.

Some might even decide to bloom in the middle of the freaking winter when the shouldn't.
