Framing your arguments with costume dlc rather than the actual focus of the story is not making the point you think it is. This kind of stuff isn't in the players face with as much frequency as it has been in FFXIV of late. Your attempt to portray it as such is misleading.

Your attempt to portray FFXIV as anything other than fantasy silly time is also very misleading.

Wow it's not as if we experienced the Dragonsong War or watched Tesleen transform into a Sin Eater before our eyes and very nearly came close to that same outcome ourselves, or witnessed the entirety of Yotsuyu's character arc, etc.

I remember spending an absurd amount of time with the moogles during the Dragonsong War - fluffing tufts and making deliveries. OH, don't forget the great cure to the cause Tesleen died for is a winged, magic piggie who snorts magic dust. Also just.. the Namazu. God's perfect creatures.
