No they shouldnt and lets ask you this..for a major update like this, with HUGE changes to their systems, backend and a slew of other areas, when would YOU schedule it?They should be able to play as long as they want today.

Take the free time to do some Independence Day activities!
As big a bummer as it was to not be able to play, having the game down while I was off all day helped me get quite a few things done. My poor hobby desk and storage bookshelves had been in shambles since I picked XIV back up again. I finally got those all cleaned up and organized which made it a lot easier to figure out what models I need to work on next for my 40K army. There's nothing like having hundreds of dollars of half-built models sitting on a shelf doing nothing because you're overwhelmed by a mess.
Just remember, your pizza wouldn't be around if it weren't for the Italians and the Coke wouldn't be there if it hadn't been for the Coca farmers in South America.
On the topic of "American Hate". OP, I suggest you go live abroad and immerse yourself in that culture for at least a year. You'll find that the US really isn't The Best of All and consuming news media without the bias inherent in US-based outlets is eye-opening.
Imagine living in a country that experiences a wave of anti-American sentiment due to a string of rapes by US military personnel. Imagine living abroad while the sitting President makes horrible decisions that significantly harm the US' relations with the rest of the world.
You'll learn what it's like to love your native land and be ashamed of it at the same time.
