Please don't do maintenance on the 4th! America is off work!

Please reconsider doing your maintenance until after Independence Day. Lots of us have the day off and would love to be able to play.

The devs have their own timetables and staffing issues, and dont take any of that into account.

Go outside for a while, you will manage.

The majority of Money goes through the USA or China, the Majority of FFXIV players are in North America. The US the 3rd highest Population, Largest Economy with China being neck and Neck.

I just get a bit tired of "lets abuse American opinions" on these forums. Close to half of the Player Base has the 4th off, it's a good time to have the servers running, as you want to encourage people playing. The 24 hour downtime for patches, can be annoying at any time, but try and time those when people don't have a massive holiday. And by Massive, the 4th is a holiday that affects a large portion of the player base, and most people (besides Retail Workers) have the day off.

So then why are y'all complaining so much about companies pandering to China?
The only reason why you're making this argument is because it benefits you to suddenly care about this, you wouldn't be making it if it didn't.

And please... Quit with the victim mentality.
The reason why Americans are the subject here is quite self-evident.
If anyone else made a billion threads about this every time because there's a holiday in their country or an ingame holiday fell on a different date than they're used to they'd get told off the same.
If people don't want to hear this then stop acting entitled and making threads about this.
Please have some humility and self-awareness.

It's not just this either it's also when holidays ingame don't fall on the same day as in the US and we get a billion threads of people flipping out about it, it's just obnoxious.

Oh honey, I am American, that's why I'm getting on your case. We are not the world, we are not the most important people on the planet, and rather than just accept the fact that inconveniences happen, you're here like a Karen complaining. So knock it off, and do something else on the 4th, like the rest of us.

Things are also a bit more complicated than just '' the US the biggest '', the US has a much larger EU population than vice versa and just because a company exists in the US doesn't mean that all of the employees are American.
Gaming companies in the US have A LOT of European people working in the studios same in every entertainment industry.
Things are very centralized in the US for convenience sake yeah, so people will essentially be forced to move there if they want to work for most of the big studios whether in gaming, music or movies etc.

The US is a bit more complicated in that sense behind the scenes than other countries, especially in movies and tv shows it's very often more of a global effort where the actors are from all over the world, writers from different countries, prop studios abroad etc.
