What does this have to do with anything?
You can still think that it's not enough and that we need a bigger overhaul, and also still acknowledge that the comment was completely harmless and made in jest.

Not everyone who disagrees with your outrage or the extent to which you're outraged is a '' Yoshida worshipper ''.
I think Yoshi-P even agrees with it too and would like the system to be better.
Just because a problem exists doesn't mean that we should just read the most obnoxiously awful intent into every word that comes out Yoshi-P's mouth.

If anything it only makes it less likely people will take you seriously when you talk about the problems.

You must have never actually read those ‘discussions’ yourself. And if so, I don’t blame you for it either. There are plenty of points presented for years in the healer sub-forum and look what’s devs reactions?

”We really don’t know what to do with healers.” (paraphrasing)

And yet they claimed they read the forum feedback. How much more dismissive & ignorant they can get now? Do this enough times, and this is what we get: a crowd of jaded healers.

Tbh I think the Healer issue is a bit more complex than just '' more DPS buttons '', I think it'd require a larger overhaul to solve.
Up the incoming damage drastically especially.
I am hoping that the Savage Dungeons may offer better content for Healers, it makes sense that there would be more consistent incoming damage that requires more healing than single boss Savage fights.

But yeah I don't think that just giving Healers a few extra buttons would actually solve the problem, it'd only solve the monotony of the DPS rotation.
Not the monotony of not having enough actual healing to do, that's an issue with the content and numbers rather than Healers tools.

So are you really going to try to argue that the absolute majority of post in those threads isn't completely toxic nonsense of players unnecessarily blaming whatever part of the player demographic they deem to be a danger to their enjoyment while some of them take turns taking shots at the developers? Like I'm like so insanely confident in winning a quote list on how incredibly awful people are in those threads easily. So before you try to tell me I haven't read it maybe check yourself again. And then we have your post here what are you trying to argue? That people are justified being absolute assholes to each other and to the devs just cause they aren't getting what they want? Cause that's what your post looks like and I'm like not on the same page with that.

Seems like they know the system isn't great and that this is essentially just sticking a plaster on it. I think it looks pretty good that they can acknowledge and joke about their own shortcomings.

Makes me feel more like they're trying to brush it under the rug. By putting it out there that they know and putting it out there through a joke they always have that excuse of, "Yes, we acknowledged it, but no you can't take our acknowledgement seriously, we were just joking."

Why can't we just be up front with each other? It leaves no risk for miscommunication and regardless of whether the answer makes everyone happy or not, most people will be somewhat understanding if everything is explained thoroughly along with the answer given. People appreciate honest and upfront communication, and regardless of what you think of the forums, I think the rest of the playerbase is extremely understanding.
