Hildibrand for relic? Really?

Yeah, I'm not a fan. Hildibrand isn't everybody's cup of tea which is precisely why it was hidden away in its own little bubble and left optional. Technically relic weapons are optional as well but linking the two together strikes me as a very strange choice. Especially since we saw the Return to Ivalice/Save the Queen storyline artificially shortened.

Hildebrand is just not everybody's cup of tea. That kind of humor isn't for everyone, so I find it an odd choice to force people through this for the relic.

Sounds like a blast to me! Wonder if they'll keep them tied to Hildy quests or if it'll just be this initial step, either way I'm excited for the hijinks

At least you don't have to find a group for 3 alliance raids. First three trials are easily soloable, and the fourth can be done with 2-3 DPS. The questline is only long if you care about watching the story.

Absurdly long? Just skip the scenes, it takes like 2-4 hours which is probably not so different from their requirement of Ivalician raids for the Bozjan relics. Ivalice doesn't act as any form of skill-check LOL. Those raids are regularly a 30-40 minute slogfest of wiping and throwing corpses at the bosses until they die.

I had skipped every ARR Hildibrand cutscene on an alt with a friend, that alone was 4-6 hours (I know it was greater then four hours but I forgot the exact time) with healer queue and giving up finding anyone for second trial and just going to our mains and carrying the other. ARR Hidlibrand is really fetch questy even with cutscene skipping.

I'm very excited about this. Even more excited to not have to do Bozja like content again. It will be a nice break. I really miss the HW and ARR style relic content.

We'll see how it goes, either way I'm happy.
